Black pottery - Small mug
Bisalhães black pottery - Since 2016 is in UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Bisalhães pottery stands out from all the others because of its making process, archaic and ancestral in all its stages, from the time the clay is dug from the earth until it is transformed into utilitarian or decorative crockery.
It is the way this earthenware is fired that gives it the black colour that makes it so distinctive.
Can be decorative or for food preparing.
